Caps entreprise, a French developer of programming tools for 'manycore' systems, has announced that it is expanding into Asia and the Pacific regions by opening a new office in Shanghai, China. The company says it began its drive towards international markets in 2009 when it signed partnership agreements with various American and Asian HPC companies. The company hopes the new Shanghai office will allow it to reinforce its presence in the region, building on existing reselling agreements with supercomputing specialists in Japan and Taïwan. Several organisations, computing centres, universities and industrial companies are currently evaluating HMPP, Caps entreprise's hybrid compiler product.
