IST Internacional is to provide local customer support in Colombia and Central America for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s complete range of products.
IST will open a new sales centre for Thermo’s products, with particular emphasis on its LIMS and chromatography data systems. The new centre will be able to target, in Spanish, industries that are particularly strong in Colombia, such as petrochemical, chemical, mining, cement, pulp and paper.
IST and Thermo have strong links in Colombia, both having served the region for over 20 years.
Faidi Cortés, director of Latin America and Caribbean sales for informatics at Thermo, commented: ‘[IST] has a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the industry and the operative challenges it faces. It is perfectly positioned to extend our sales activity in the country.’
