DNAStar's ArrayStar product line for microarray gene expression analysis and RNA-Seq applications wil be distributed in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Greece by Infogen Bioinformatics.
Infogen is a company focusing its selling efforts on software used in microarray applications. The company has offices in the UK and in Milan Italy. Principals of the company have been in the molecular biology software business for more than 15 years and bring a wealth of experience and contacts to the market.
Bob Steinhauser, DNAStar's director of marketing, said: 'Europe has traditionally been a strong market for DNAStar with its sequence analysis software. We have seen continuing demand for ArrayStar and felt that our best way to capture this business was by adding to our distribution organisation. The technical expertise required to properly sell and support such a product meant that we needed to find an organisation with existing market experience. Infogen fits our needs very well. We believe that the local market knowledge Infogen will bring in gene expression, along with our growing product line, will be very beneficial to each of us.'
