Dassault Systèmes, a provider of 3D design software, 3D digital mock-up and product lifecycle management (PLM) products, has announced the acquisition of FE-Design Group, a company specialising in design optimisation for early-stage product development.
The acquisition of FE-Design, based in Karlsruhe, Germany, expands Dassault Systèmes’ Simulia applications to provide what it claims is the most complete design optimisation solution on the market. FE-Design has more than 200 global product manufacturer customers including General Motors, BMW, Siemens and Suzlon. The selling price of the company has not been disclosed.
