I/O virtualisation provider NextIO and Russian server manufacturer Depo Computers have signed an agreement for what has been described as an important step toward providing more simplified I/O management and virtualisation options throughout Russia. As a result of the OEM agreement, Depo will offer NextIO’s vNET I/O consolidation appliance as part of its product portfolio to provide network I/O virtualisation for data centre rack fabrics, reducing IT infrastructure costs and complexity.
The company’s plans to incorporate vNET technology into its server infrastructure is expected to yield increased manageability, greater flexibility and lower costs for its broad customer base in industries such as manufacturing and oil and gas.
