Silicon Mechanics, a manufacturer of rackmount servers, storage and high-performance computing hardware, is now a premium reseller of NexentaStor, the hardware-agnostic storage solution that aims to provide enterprise storage features at mid-tier prices.
Nexenta, the software-defined storage provider, granted Silicon Mechanics premium status based on its 'expert included' pledge.
NexentaStor is a fully featured NAS/SAN software platform with capabilities that are intended to meet and exceed those of legacy storage systems, with the aim of not forcing customers to replace entire systems as drive and I/O technologies evolve over time.
Nexenta says it looks for a high level of consultation in premium partners, consulting closely with customers throughout the entire process of developing a solution, and offering 24/7 product support.
