PARS (Parallel Application from Rapid Simulation), a software development environment from Sundance DSP, has won the Software Design category of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Innovation Awards.
Targeted at multiprocessor applications, PARS enables application designers to generate system target code, including DSP codes, FPGA codes and all of the required inter-processor communication and synchronization codes from a Simulink model. Created as a value-add companion to The MathWorks model-based design flow, PARS boasts multiple design wins and also supports The Mathworks RTW-EC and HDLCoder. The Innovation Awards span 15 categories and attracted hundreds of entries from around the world. They represent a unique opportunity for industry innovators to be recognised and provide a showcase for the brightest ideas, highlighting the importance of innovation by celebrating its application across a range of engineering disciplines.
Sundance DSP, R&D director Dr Mansour Ahmadian commented: 'We are delighted that our investment and achievement in PARS has been recognised by an organisation like the IET that is dedicated to advancing and representing the interests of science and technology around the world. This award was won in the face of stiff competition and is testament to our focus and effort in delivering outstanding DSP+FPGA multiprocessor solutions.'
