Lingumatics has held its Fall Users Conference in Cambridge, MA, USA, attracting a range of high-profile names from pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other life science organisations.
The conference programme featured speakers from Pfizer, Biogen Idec, AstraZeneca and Wyeth, in addition to presentations by Linguamatics technology experts and open round-table discussions on evolving requirements for enterprise text-mining. Speakers highlighted a number of case studies where the I2E semantic knowledge-discovery platform is delivering significant business value for a variety of applications from R&D to Business Intelligence.
Participants were able to preview some of the powerful new text mining capabilities targeted for release in early 2009, in addition to benefiting from hands-on workshops and opportunities for networking within the Linguamatics user community. Software previews focused on enhancements that will provide greater accessibility and scalability for enterprise knowledge discovery deployments of I2E.
