ArrayFire for Intel Xeon Phi

AccelerEyes has announced the latest release of ArrayFire, adding support for the new Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors. ArrayFire is an OpenCL library designed for maximum speed without the hassle of writing time-consuming OpenCL device code. Each of its functions has been hand-tuned by OpenCL experts, and the same ArrayFire code will run on the CPU and the integrated GPU of Intel Core processors, the Intel Xeon processors, and the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor. With ArrayFire, each of these OpenCL-compatible devices can be used simultaneously.

The library contains hundreds of functions for mathematics, signal processing, image processing and algorithms. The company states that through the software's broad function set, nearly every engineering, science or financial simulation can be accelerated.

ArrayFire includes the GFOR-loop, enabling all iterations of a FOR-loop to run simultaneously on the OpenCL device, and graphics library for data visualisations of the OpenCL simulations.
