Bioinformatics company DNAStar’s ArrayStar microarray data analysis software has been designated compatible with the Affymetrix GeneChip microarray platform.
ArrayStar is DNAStar's latest molecular biology software product designed for microarray users who are focusing their research efforts in the gene expression analysis area. The agreement will provide DNAStar, Affymetrix and their respective customers with the latest tools necessary to conduct their research using the GeneChip microarray platform and to provide both companies with the rights to promote each other's products through website, training and promotion channels.
ArrayStar has also been specifically designed to import data files from another microarray provider, NimbleGen. They have recently signed an agreement to provide a free trial version of ArrayStar with NimbleGen’s products.
