CoolIT Systems, a provider of energy efficient Direct Liquid Cooling technology, today reported company revenue for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2017 (FY2017) increased by 60 per cent. Among the market segments driving growth in FY2017, Data Center saw the most significant escalation with sales up by 75 per cent from the previous year.
With a continued focus on developing complete, chip-to-atmosphere solutions that are safe, reliable, and scalable in today’s dynamic data center industry, the strategic pairing of STULZ and CoolIT has enabled a unique offering along with worldwide service capabilities to ensure customer support regardless of location. OEM partnerships were also key to CoolIT’s FY2017 revenue growth. Dell EMC selected the company’s Rack DCLC technology for their high-performance liquid cooled PowerEdge offeringin Q3/17. Additionally, CoolIT reached mass production in Q4/17 with a 30,000 node data center installation in the US.
‘2017 was a pivotal year for CoolIT in the liquid-cooled data center space and company revenue growth is attributable to two factors,’ said Geoff Lyon, CoolIT Systems CEO. ‘First, our focus on product quality and reliability continues to be a source of competitive strength. Second, through establishing close engineering partnerships with today’s leading server manufacturers and data center operators we help our customers efficiently manage the increasing heat loads of modern data center environments.’
CoolIT is already on track to set further revenue records in 2018 with the launch of five new programs in the first half of the year. Supporting CoolIT’s ongoing growth is the fact that Direct Liquid Cooling, once reserved for elite Supercomputer installations, is now being adopted more broadly across the various High Performance Computing (HPC) verticals and is gaining popularity with Hyperscale data center operators.
CoolIT is recognised as the Direct Liquid Cooling technology provider of choice for server manufacturers with solutions compatible with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Dell EMC, Intel, Huawei, Supermicro systems and various ODM-direct servers. With a strong commitment to research and development, CoolIT boasts the broadest range of warm water liquid cooling products from high performance coldplate modules to a wide variety of Coolant Distribution Units (CDU’s).
‘CoolIT continually builds on its capacity to deliver modular, scalable liquid cooling solutions to the industry. Customers are increasingly choosing CoolIT to help them manage heat loads from powerful CPUs, GPUs and Memory components that are simply no longer possible with air cooling’ Lyon added.
