Thermo Electron Corporation has updated Darwin LIMS, its commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) laboratory information management system (LIMS) designed specifically for pharmaceutical manufacturing R&D and QA/QC.
Darwin Version 1.1 features extensive interfacing capabilities to provide tight integration with SAP for streamlined workflow and rapid batch disposition and release;, plus new historical data trending and charting functionality. The embedded charting and trending for testing product stability allows for real-time data review and rapid reporting. Darwin 1.1 has also been optimised to operate on the Oracle 10g platform.
As a result of Darwin’s ability to interface with SAP and other system, customers are better prepared to integrate Darwin into their global enterprise.
