Simulations Plus, a provider of simulation and modelling software for pharmaceutical discovery and development, has released version 8.5 of its GastroPlus software for the simulation of gastrointestinal absorption, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.
Enhanced features include expression levels for sulfotransferases in human liver, kidney, and lung; a new precipitation model based on classical nucleation theory; the ability to change physiologies during a simulation; and enhanced graphics for more insightful interpretation of simulation results.
