IronCAD has announced a new service patch for its IronCAD Design Collaboration Suite (DCS) and, in addition, has introduced KeyShot and Trace Parts integration.
This service patch provides improvements as well as localised versions for Japanese, German, Polish, Italian, Korean, and others.
The company claims that DCS 2014 delivered over 500 customer-driven improvements. With enhanced collaboration tools, users can share data at any level within an organisation as well as online with the GrabCAD community. IronCAD DCS 2014 also offers a new, powerful GrabCAD integration that allows for real time collaboration with other designers from within IronCAD.
In partnership with Luxion, the makers of KeyShot, IronCad has announced the availability of KeyShot for IronCad, enabling users to create 3D models quickly and then generate visualisations for communication and collaboration. Using Luxion's LiveLinking technology, IronCAD users create new product designs and then work with them directly in KeyShot while maintaining assembly structure and model appearance.
During the design process, users can update and make changes from within the IronCAD interface and have these changes automatically reflected in the rendered image. The changed geometry uses previous applied KeyShot materials allowing new images to be created.
Integration with TraceParts has also been introduced, offering users access to libraries containing millions of standard CAD files.
