Silicon Mechanics has announced that it now offers the NVIDIA Tesla K40 GPU accelerator, the world’s fastest accelerator, as part of its GPU Solutions product line.
The Tesla K40 GPU accelerator is equipped with 12GB of memory making it ideal for big data analytics and largeâ€scale scientific computations. The GPU delivers up to 40 per cent higher performance compared to the NVIDIA Tesla K20X GPU, and 10 times higher performance than today’s fastest CPU. Featuring NVIDIA GPU Boost technology, which converts power headroom into a user-controlled performance boost, the new GPU solution enables users to achieve even greater acceleration for various HPC workloads.
The NVIDIA Tesla family of GPUs is built on the NVIDIA Kepler GPU architecture and includes powerful technology features such as Dynamic Parallelism and Hyper-Q.
