Maplesoft has released the latest version of Maple T.A, which is the company’s assessment technology tool.
The latest edition of Maple T.A. provides full support for question content in international languages, thus expanding the reach of the product to non-English speaking students.
Maple T.A. is a web-based system that helps instructors to create tests and assignments, and to assess student responses and performance automatically. It supports complex, free-form entry of mathematical equations and intelligent evaluation of responses, making it ideal for mathematics, science, or any other course that requires mathematics. Furthermore, Maple T.A. is the only system designed specifically for courses using mathematics.
Users will also have access to the Maple T.A 4.0 Building Block for Blackboard Learning System, an add-on product that allows customers to use Maple T.A. directly from inside their Blackboard classes. Support is available for Blackboard Learning System Releases 6.3, 7.x, and 8.0.
Other key features include: enhanced roster import; increased flexibility in user registration; more customised messages for students; comprehensive support for international characters in question content and student rosters; gradebook improvements: an enhanced student view and more flexible export functionalities and integration with MapleNet: the product can be integrated with MapleNet (available separately), which provides increased efficiency, including the ability to use multiple back-end servers. This feature provides a wider variety of plot types and customisations in question content.
