Data Translation has released the latest version of its open, powerful application builder for test and measurement systems, known as Measure Foundry 5.1.
The software is now compatible with Windows Vista and features various enhancements which, for example, significantly simplify the development of applications for temperature, sound and vibration measurement.
Measure Foundry is an open test and measurement software solution for all standard instrument and bus standards. Besides the LXI and PXI/VXI hardware interfaces, the software also supports the proven GPIB, USB, PCI and RS232 interfaces and the VISA, SCPI and IVI-COM driver standards. The program allows creating test and measurement applications by simple drag and drop and without writing code.
Measure Foundry Version 5.1 is compatible with the Windows Vista operating system and offers new components that make the development of test and measurement applications easy, particularly in the area of temperature, sound and vibration measurement.
With the Analog Input Synched component, for example, users can quickly couple and configure two DT9837A USB data acquisition modules. This allows building high-performance system solutions with eight analogue inputs, two tachometer inputs and two analogue outputs for sound, vibration and sonar measurement.
Measurement applets are also available for rapid application development. These applets are ready-to-run executables that can be quickly modified in Measure Foundry or combined with other functions to create customised solutions.
The new features also include an ASCII File Writer component, which allows saving the measurement results to user-formattable ASCII files. The software is available in different versions offering different levels of functionality.
