PDTec, based in Karlsruhe, and SSC-Services GmbH, based in Böblingen, have agreed to offer a joint, cloud-based solution for effective data exchange between OEMs, suppliers, and engineering service providers.
PDTec’s CAD Portal and SSC’s SWANcloud complement each other to create a seamless process chain. With its automated and efficient data exchange, this process chain can lead to significant savings while offering substantial quality improvements in the save data exchange for PDM and CAD.
With this new, cloud-based solution customers can easily and quickly setup a data exchange process between an OEM and service provider or supplier since essential components are already preconfigured in place. The connections to OEM-specific PDM systems such as Smaragd, KVS, Prisma, or TeamCenter are supported by PDTec’s CAD Portal by default. SWAN enables a quick and safe data transfer between the development partners. Thus, the development projects are managed in the cloud with minimum configuration effort and the customer can focus on the main task, the development itself.
