Analyze IQ, a producer of spectroscopy analysis software, has announced the release of Analyze IQ SmartSearch, the latest addition to its Analyze IQ Software Suite. SmartSearch allows the user to search rapidly and accurately through a library of spectra, to identify the best matches for unknown spectra, enabling researchers to answer 'what is this?' questions easily and reliably, and providing them with useful supplementary data, the company says.
Analyze says it also provides accurate spectrum matching algorithms to allow the user to identify a ranked set of spectra that are the closest matches for a spectrum of interest. It includes a wide range of well-known comparison metrics, and the spectral euclidean distance algorithm, which was developed specifically for this product.
