Boston, the European distributor for Super Micro Computer, has introduced the Venom T4000 Personal Supercomputer, featuring 960+ cores. The machine provides up to 4 teraflops of computational power and is based on the 7046GT-TRF, which is Supermicro's latest workstation platform.
In addition to being able to support four double-width GPU cards the system also supports an additional 3 PCI-E add-on controller cards. This further expansion means the performance can be enhanced by adding a double width performance graphics display card and high performance networking or many combinations that use the industry standard PCI-E slot.
